Scholarships for seniors
The AXA Achievement Scholarship is available. To qualify you must demonstrate: ambition and drive, determination to set and reach goals, respect for self and family, and the ability to succeed in college. Deadline is December 15, go to www.axa-achievement.com to get more information.
The Toyota Community Scholars scholarship is available. To qualify you must: plan to enroll in a four year college, have a strong academic record, be an effective leader and have a well-documented record of service both within and outside the school setting. The Rotary Youth Foundation scholarship is available. To qualify you must plan to enroll in a four year college. Scholarships range from $2,000 to $5,000. To qualify you must plan to enroll in a four year college and pursue studies in preparation for a business career (major in Business or Economics). Lessary, who had missed two PATs earlier in the game after nailing the first, powered his kick to lift the Red Raiders to their first OIA title since 2006 and 14th since 1970.

Second seed and O'ahu Interscholastic Association champion Kahuku defeated OIA counterpart Mililani, 25-18, 25-13, 25-22, in the New City Nissan/HHSAA Girls Volleyball Division I State Championships at McKinley High School gym.
