Wahiawa Veteran's Day Parade

The KHS JROTC Cadets and KHS Cheerleaders marched in the Annual Wahiawa Lion's Club Veteran's Day Parade. A Special Thanks to all the Parents and Teachers who can out and supported us. They showed School Pride and sacrificed their holiday to Honor the Veterans. Also, Mr. Joe Whitford and the Cheerleader Coaches we thank you for your support.

In addition to marching in the Wahiawa parade, 8 JROTC cadets went to Punchbowl National Cemetery to escort VIP's. The cadets had the opportunity to meet many great veterans. Photo's were taken with Senator Akaka, Representative Abercrombie, Medal of honor winners and many more. A job well done!

Aloha Festival Parade

We would like to thank all JROTC Cadets who participated in the Aloha Day Festival Parade on Saturday September 13, 2008. They marched from the Ward Center to the Honolulu Zoo carrying banners for the Parade Floats. We are so proud of you for truly radiating the Red Raiders Spirit.

Parents Night

We can honestly say, another successful Parents Night under our belt. August 27, 2008 the Kahuku JROTC held their Annual Parents Night in the Kahuku Cafeteria. We had a top notch presentation by the JROTC Color Guard which consisted of all first year cadets. The "I'm a Cadet" Presentation also consisted of first year cadets and they did an excellent job. Throughout the entire program, we had Uniform Demonstrations, Promotions and acknowledged all the cadets for their outstanding efforts. A Special Thank You to all the cadets, parents and Kahuku Staff.

JROTC Cadets Win at Organizational Day

Saturday, May 3rd, Kahuku's very own Red Raider battalion brought home 3 trophies from the annual organization day at Bellow Air Force Station. Kahuku cadets won 1st place in the Humvee pull, second place in track and field and received a special award for motivation. Every cadet put out a tremendous effort and had a great time!

JROTC Cadets step up to challenge

26 Kahuku Cadets spent spring break at Schofield Barracks with 500 other cadets from all over the state. Each JROTC battalion sent 4 cadets to a 4 day advanced camp where they went through leadership training in preparation to assume leadership positions for the main camp which began on March 24th. Cadets negotiated obstacle courses, learned drown proofing techniques, rappelled and many other activities. Every cadet said they were glad they went and really enjoyed meeting new people and gained enormous self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment. Job well done!
