Clubs on Campus

So far there are only two official clubs on campus. In order to be a recognized club on campus you must re-charter your club at the beginning of each year. If starting a new club you would need to come in to P8 and pick up a club form. In order for clubs to function or do any activities, meetings, projects, fund-raising etc your charter forms must be approved by the principal and filed with the SAC. FYI: 10 people have come in to pick up forms to start or re-charter their club, however, only two have followed through, and are official on campus. Do your best, get your club forms in, Principal will sign it if you have filled out all the required information. after getting the principals signature and approval, bring your charter to P8 to be filed with Student Activities. (It would be very good to make a copy for your club to keep on hand, at the end of the year all clubs must report their finances and closing budget with the account clerk).

Kahuku tops Moanalua for Red Conference title

Kahuku completed a perfect O'ahu Interscholastic Assocation girls volleyball season in thrilling fashion last night by holding off Moanalua, 25-18, 21-25, 28-26, 22-25, 15-13, for the Red Conference championship.

The Red Raiders finished 16-0 in league play and will receive the OIA's top seed and a first-round bye in next week's state tournament.

Kahuku gains OIA tourney final

Kahuku was in the driver's seat throughout the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red East regular season.

It's only fitting that the Red Raiders are in the same position during the double-elimination OIA Red Conference tournament.

Kahuku was pushed to the limit by Moanalua last night at McKinley, but the Red Raiders prevailed, 25-23, 25-18, 12-25, 19-25, 15-12.

Kahuku rolls past Mililani, 42-13

One year after the Kahuku High School football team suffered a shocking playoff loss at home to end its season, the Red Raiders made good on their vow not to let history repeat itself in 2008.

The Red Raiders raced past Mililani, 42-13, last night in O'ahu Interscholastic Association quarterfinal action before a home crowd of about 3,000 at Carleton E. Weimer Field. Kahuku, the OIA Eastern Division champion, improved to 8-1 overall and will face West runner-up Wai'anae in next week's semifinals.

Hanai i ka Ipu

Hanai I ka Ipu is a extracurricular program for students grades 7-12. We are now accepting applicants. We go on Hawaiian excursions, focus on Community Service, and Leadership. Please stop by any time during intermediate lunch D2 for an application. Tutoring will begin every Thursdays from 3-4pm in room A202. If you don't need tutoring just come by so I can meet you.

Kahuku High Swimming

If you are interested in swimming this year, please see Mrs. Tugman in the office for a physical form and a parent release form. Please do it ASAP! You can't practice until these forms are complete. Practice will start in November at the BYU-H pool.

Congratulations to the 2008 Homecoming Court

A very special Mahalo to the homecoming court parents for their support and an extra special mahalo to the Polynesian Cultural Center for building the homecoming court stage each year for Kahuku. We would also like to Thank Celebrity Tuxedos for their complimentary sponsorship of the boys Tuxedos. Turtle Bay Hilton sponsored (complimentary) the girls with special manicures and hairstyles. Hertz car rentals and Turtle Bay were very helpful with sponsorships of the motorcade convertibles. Last but not least, Lei Lei's Restaurant provided a very special dinner for the homecoming court and honored guest. Thank you Lila Magalei, Homecoming Court Mom for all the coordinating and arrangements.
